The Christian Web Ministries Team is proud to announce Proclaim 10.7.1 — now available for production use!
What's new in Proclaim 10:
- Action needed: reissue your API keys. Two settings screens used to send credentials in the web address rather than the request body, and servers routinely log addresses — so your AI provider key, YouTube Data API key and Resi client secret may be sitting in log files. This release stops it; it cannot unwrite what was already recorded
- Your download button is back. On a site with Simple Mode off that had never chosen a download button style, the control rendered as an empty link — nothing to click, and nothing a screen reader could announce. Since the installer never sets that style, this was the state of any site that had not picked one
- Template code is written more carefully — the filename is validated on every path that writes a layout, a record can no longer overwrite a layout the package ships, and a template's title can no longer decide where an export is written
- Editing template code is now labelled for what it is. Those files are PHP your site runs, so the permission is as powerful as Super User. The permissions screen says so on the three settings that carry it, and System Health reports any group that holds it without being a Super User
- Fixed: the Layout Editor showed an error page instead of the editor on every freshly installed site — a configured site never saw it
- Fixed: saving Administrative Settings wiped every System Health finding you had dismissed, so they all came back
- Fixed: a save that failed validation threw away what you had typed and refilled the form from the stored record. Eleven screens were affected, including messages, teachers, series, locations, podcasts and comments
- System Health can be filtered. Click "Needs attention" to see only what needs looking at; the panel still opens showing everything
- Two new System Health checks — one reports Schema.org records stored where the edit form cannot see them, which can happen on upgraded sites, and one reports who can write template code
- Accessibility: the control panel and location wizard now meet the AA contrast requirement, article information lists are marked up so a screen reader can read them, and download links have proper names
