Version 9.2 and following introduce Simple Mode. Simple Mode is set to "on" by default for new Proclaim! installations. But you can turn it off and on in the Administrator tab of Proclaim! under Administration Parameters. It's the first button you'll see.
What does Simple Mode do? It simplifies the entry and display of sermons and media files. You'll have fewer menu choices (Administration, Studies, Media FIles, Series, Teachers, Servers and Podcasts).
To use Proclaim! in Simple Mode, first set up one or more teachers. See Setting Up a Proclaim! Teacher for more on that. Next, see if you need to set up a Server. If you are using the built-in servers you can skip this step, or see Setting Up a Proclaim Server.
Using Proclaim! in Simple Mode is easy. Click on the Studies tab in the Proclaim! menu on the administration side, and then click New at the top. You'll see various fields to fill in such as the date of the study, the teacher you've already set up - the Scripture references and if you have created a podcast or series, you can see those in the drop down menu on the form as well.
If you have a media file to upload or link to, you can save this form and then add a media file right from the study. See Adding a Media File article for more on that.
The nice thing about Simple Mode is that you don't have to worry about what fields to display. We use a simple sermon list that includes your media files. If you are a small church or don't have staff that are skilled in HTML or web administration, this might be a good option for you.
Here's what that listing screen might look like.
